Walk in Tub Assembler

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform incoming inspection, manufacture to order, test, final quality inspection and pack for outbound shipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

Read and understand the MAS500 generated work order.

Locate correct shell using the part number on the attached manufacturer label. Have the cart moved to the production line.

Open the crate and perform an incoming inspection looking for visible damage to the shell.

Determine the locations of all fixtures, nozzles, grab bars and any other approved accessories.

Prepare the shell for installation of requested fixtures using the approved hand tools.

Assembly the tub in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) -10-0030.

Perform quality control inspections after each step in the manufacturing process. You have the authorization to stop any process that is questionable and seek the approval of the team lead before processing.

Complete each step of the production work order at the time it is performed. Do not wait until the job is finished to fill out the work order.

Marks identifying part and/or job information on finished part.

Affix labels or stickers to finished product as required.

Inspects finished product against established quality standards. Completes all needed quality assurance information when required.

Record final production information on work order.

Pack finished part on pallet or transports part to packaging department.

Notifies supervisor of scrap, reject, or questionable product to assure proper documentation/recording. Repairs quality problems if possible. Properly disposes of scrap prior to end of shift.

Monitors inventory of stock items & requisitions items as needed.

Utilizes good housekeeping practices. Keeps work area clean & organized.

Assist other departments when required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to use a tape measure & perform basic arithmetic using fractions & whole numbers.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively among employees of organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
