ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Pulls and packs items for customer orders by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.
Read the MAS500-generated pick ticket to determine the items to be packed.
Inspects/Cleans product with approved cleaners before packing.
Lines and pads pallets and assemble cartons in preparation for packing. Refer to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) -10-0021 for complete instructions.
Places protective material, if required, between products on pallets.
Perform quality control inspections after each step in the packing process. You have the authorization to stop any questionable process and seek the approval of the team lead before processing.
Observes weight and quantity guidelines for specific dealers/customers or products.
Completes orders either independently or as a team depending on the size and complexity of the order.
Observes first-in, first-out rotation of raw material inventory.
Notifies supervisor of scrap and reject product to assure proper documentation/recording.
Monitors inventory of stock items and packaging materials and requisitions items as needed.
Utilizes good housekeeping practices. Keeps the work area clean and organized.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively among employees of the organization.
