Monitors all aspects of the work in progress to ensure continuous production of products that comply with established standards by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following but are not limited to:
Reads and verifies that all information required to produce a quality part is on the work order.
Follows the manufactured part through all steps of the manufacturing process and inspects the part at required intervals for Quality and work order specifications.
Notifies Team lead/Supervisor of any problems or failed specifications and assist in determining the required corrective action.
Randomly inspects the work of other employees within his/her department for quality assurance.
Assist with the proper identification, tagging, and disposition of unusable (reject) raw materials.
Records scrap raw material and finished goods caused by operator/manufacturing error on scrap log.
Makes inventory adjustments as needed to adjust for scrap and reject materials.
Makes recommendations for improvements to product specifications and design that will further reduce nonconforming product.
Interprets quality control philosophy to personnel within the organization.
Works with purchasing and receiving departments to insure quality of all purchased parts for company use.
Observes and asks workers questions pertaining to job functions.
Observes workers using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
Records test data.
Other duties as assigned by Team Lead/Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
