IT Senior Business Analyst

Phoenix, AZ


The IT Senior Business Analyst is part of a team bringing solutions to the Re-Bath business.  The primary responsibility is to collaborate with business users, franchisees, IT team members and outside business partners to design, test and implement packaged applications and custom development items.

This role is a key liaison between users, stakeholders, IT team members and external partners.  Responsible to work closely with users to determine and document their needs, communicating on a non-technical level.  Leads the design, test and implementation of business solutions that support Re-Bath’s vision, business priorities and strategies.  This role ensures that all solutions create an excellent customer experience.


  • Responsible for application implementation and development including:
    • Conduct analysis and facilitation activities associated with process definition and design, performance management and business operations optimization to attain the highest level of customer service, efficiency, control and compliance.
    • Act as a liaison between business users and IT team members to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements, including business rules and data standards.
    • Determine configuration, integration and custom development necessary and communicate to users on a non-technical level.
    • Develop use cases, test plans and detailed test scripts. Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
    • Provide end user training and procedural documentation.
    • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all team members, users and stakeholders.
    • Identify issues and risks and provide alternative courses of action to achieve business and organization goals and objectives.
    • Conduct project management tasks like project planning, issue resolution and managing tasks/timelines to ensure projects are successfully initiated and complete on-time and within budget.
  • Establish functional expertise in specified application(s) and associated business processes. Use this expertise to work with users, IT leadership and other stakeholders to determine business objectives, feasibility and cost benefit of project requests.
  • Assist in the documentation, evaluation and prioritization of project requests.
  • Assist end users and other IT team members in troubleshooting the production environment, provide production support to research and resolve system problems.
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommend vendor applications / solutions to meet business needs.
  • Build, develop and grow relationships with technology users and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced Business Analysts and other team members.
  • Adhere to established project management methodology, SDLC, support and service management policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of developments and best practices in the IT field. Maintain the knowledge necessary to support department goals and programs and retain professional competence.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a business IT capacity or acting as a liaison with the IT function required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst related to business technology systems (packaged and custom developed) required.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile and proficiency in understanding business problems and opportunities and developing artifacts such as requirements, functional designs and user test scripts required.
  • ERP experience required. Experience with business applications supporting manufacturing or distribution operations (e.g. WMS, eCommerce, etc.) a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of data warehouse concepts and experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools (e.g. MS Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy, etc.) preferred.
