Bathroom Remodel Cost Part 1: Where to Splurge

When planning bathroom remodel cost, it's important to identify where to splurge, & where to save. Part 1 of our bathroom remodel cost blog covers spending

It’s time for a bathroom remodel! While we are all about being frugal, there are certain things you are not going to want to skimp on when deciding your bathroom remodel cost. We will also let you know where you can save money! Stay updated with our blog to find out.

#1 Cabinets

This is one of the areas where you do not want to go cheap, as the cabinetry in your bathroom takes on a lot. Not only are they in use every day, but they also reside in a fairly moist environment. If the cabinets are made of a cheap wood, such as particle board, they will get damaged and become unusable very fast. Then those inexpensive cabinets turn into an expensive new problem, adding a lot to your bathroom remodel cost!

#2 Faucets

It’s easy to find inexpensive faucets, but for something that you use every day, it should probably be better quality if you want it to last. Be sure to check out the type of finish and material the sink faucet is made of. Some faucets have plastic on the inside. Look for a faucet that will be aesthetically pleasing and last for a long time. Your faucet is an important part of your bathroom, and one of the things you don’t want to skimp on when planning your bathroom remodel cost.

#3 ShowersBathroom Remodel Cost for Showers

We aren’t saying that you need to go out and get the latest and most expensive steam shower, but you are going to want to spend more than the bare minimum on your shower. That is, unless you want to take showers with uneven water pressure every day (and we are pretty sure you don’t!). Showers have many purposes. They relax and calm you after a long day, but they also help you start your day. A good shower can act like medicine for the soul. Trust us – it is worth it to make sure that your shower works properly and isn’t a source of worry!
